It has advanced options to customize the cleaning schedule. For instance you can select a specific start and stop time for each cycle, or whether it should clean carpets first before mopping. It struggled a bit when it came across carpets with longer piles, and there were a few large, thick piles of dried-on debris.
Like many robots that are available, the S1 Pro comes ready to come out of the box and only requires an initial mapping session to figure out how it can navigate your home. The map will then be displayed in the app, and you can add or join rooms as needed. You can also create virtual boundaries such as no-mop zones, no-go zones, and no-go zones if you don't want the robot to touch specific items.
The S1 Pro does a great job of cleaning up messes from hard floors due to its rotary mop head that puts 2.2lbs (1kg) of downward pressure on the floor. Its ability both to vacuum and mop is a great choice for homes that have both types of flooring. However, its dependence on Eufy cleaning products (which are included in the box), can make it less flexible as other robots that allow you to add your own cleaning products.
